Elon, Tim, and Tai have some very strong similarities, as well as some seemingly strong differences… that is until you look a little more closely. Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, works 14 hours a day. Tim Ferriss is well known for his book, “The four hour work week.” Tai Lopez believes that your work should be something you love, thus you don’t have a need to count the hours- as your work is your life. So as you can see, on the surface, they all perceive their time at work differently. But if you dig a bit deeper, you will find the common thread through all of them is a quote from Simon Sinek, “Working hard for something we don’t care about is called Stress. Working hard for something we love is called Passion.”
All three gentlemen agree on that point completely. If you take Tim’s advice, you will take the time to figure out what you are doing that is bringing you the majority of your results. The truth is, it’s only a few things that really will move the needle. Now if you layer in Elon’s drive, and you do those things for twice the time the average person will, you will logically get their in half the time. The icing on the cake comes from Tai, simply advising to love what you do. (As does Simon.)
In summary; get really good at honing your skills, do that (because you love it) for a longer period of time each day, and you will outrun and outshine any of your competitors. All four of these men are wildly successful. You should know by now how I feel about mentorship. If you don’t have a mentor – any one of them, is a great place to start.
