Getting past the perfectionist mindset. No matter how hard you work, or how much time you spend – there will never be a time that what you are working on will be “perfect.” Strive for excellence… not perfection. Be proud of what you are putting out there, but don’t get caught in the illusion that something must be perfect.
Actually two things:
Every night listing out what I’m grateful for. No matter how big or small. Maintaining focus on what there is to be grateful for today, changes my mindset in a positive way, regardless what is going on.
Thanking someone every day. Someone on my team, someone I interact with… I take time to recognize and thank them for what they are doing. Doing that, in turn, improves my mindset by seeing them smile.
Get a great coach and a great mentor. Someone who can point out how you are getting in your own way. Someone who can help you to realize what you need to do next and can help you get where you want to go.
You are the sum of the people you surround yourself with. You need to be clear about who those people are and how they are affecting you. Are they the right people for you and for your growth? Choose wisely.
